I was supposed to merge MEMS monitors but I now have 2 patients
Article Merging MEMS monitors is an advanced function and may not be available for anyone. If you need to have access to this function you should contact your coordinator or an AARDEX representative. We assume here that you already have access to this function but have by mistake created a new patient instead of merging with an already existing.

In this case, you could delete the second patient and read the 2nd MEMS again to proceed with the merge as usual. However, if reading again the second MEMS is impossible at this time, you may use the CDC file that contains the same data as the monitor at the time of the last reading. This file is located on your computer and has a name such as 001--.cdc (for exemple 001-0000241132-009.cdc). In case there are several of them, you want to submit the one having the highest value. Instead of clicking on the "Read MEMS monitor..." button, click on "Options" and then "Send a file without reading a monitor".

Doing so, you will not loose any taking events as they are stored forever in the MEMS cap (or CDC file) but you will loose all data (if any) entered for the 2nd patient. More specifically this include patient data (not a big deal since they would probably be the same as for the first patient) and any additional events (NMP, memos, manual events) that you may have introduced. If you have already introduced a lot of such additional events for the second patient, you should contact AARDEX to get further assistance.
